Grant Recipients 2024

Angela Edwards is the founder of Elli Cares, the mobile app that supports independent living for people with cognitive impairment and provides peace of mind to families. The Elli Cares application supports independent living through utilising push notification technology to help manage day-to-day life, safe zones for location tracking and unobtrusive oversight of family members.

The funding provided by the Selwyn Foundation is enabling us to build out functionality to further support independent living for those in the earlier stages of dementia or cognitive impairment, with improved functionality, behavioural monitoring and a te reo Maori language option. Through this work we expect to see improved medication adherence as well as reduced anxiety and increased peace of mind of both people living with cognitive impairments and their care partners.
